Apantac Now Offer Products Through the Ross Open Gear Platform 

 

OpenGear® is based on the open-architecture 2RU openGear® modular frames designed by Ross Video. A 2RU openGear® has 20 available slots and each Apantac card + rear panel occupies two slots. The advantage of the openGear® frame is that it accepts products from several manufacturers, including Apantac now. The MicroQ-S, Micro-Single, Micro-UDX, Micro-4K, US-3000, US-3500 and DA-HDTV-SDI will be available as cards for the openGear® chassis.

 

Here is a Summary of the New Products:

  • Fixed Quad Split. The openGear® version of the MicroQ-S is the OG-MicroQ-MB. It is available with two different rear modules: The OG-MicroQ-RM and the OG-MicroQ-RM-X. The OG-MicroQ-MB plus OG-MicroQ-RM provides the same functionality as the MicroQ-S. With the OG-MicroQ-RM-X, the HDMI connector is replaced by a RJ45 connector with built-in HDMI/DVI extender over CAT x capability, like with any Tahoma multiviewer. When using it with a DVI-1-LR or HDMI-1-R active receiver, this allows having the monitor up to 35 meters away from the openGear® chassis. 
  • Production quality Converter / Scaler. The openGear® version of the Micro-Single is the OG-Micro-Single-MB. It is available with two different rear modules: The OG-Micro-Single-RM and the OG-Micro-Single-RM-X. The OG-Micro-Single-MB plus OG-Micro-Single-RM provides the same functionality as the Micro-Single. With the OG-Micro-Single-RM-X, the HDMI connector is replaced by a RJ45 connector with built-in HDMI/DVI extender over CAT x capability, like with any Tahoma multiviewer. When using it with a DVI-1-LR or HDMI-1-R active receiver, this allows having the monitor up to 35 meters away from the openGear® chassis.
  • Up/Down/Cross Converter. The openGear® version of the Micro-UDX is the OG-Micro-UDX-MB. The companion rear module is the OG-Micro-UDX-RM. The OG-Micro-UDX-MB plus OG-Micro-UDX-RM provides the same functionality as the Micro-UDX.
  • UHD Down Converter. The openGear® version of the Micro-4K is the OG-Micro-4K-MB. The companion rear module is the OG-Micro-4K-RM. The OG-Micro-4K-MB plus OG-Micro-4K-RM provides the same functionality as the Micro-4K.
  • Universal Scaler. The openGear® version of the US-3000 is the OG-US-3000-MB. The companion rear module is the OG-US-3000-RM. The OG-US-3000-MB plus OG-US-3000-RM provides the same functionality as the US-3000.
  • Universal Scaler with Genlock. The openGear® version of the US-3500 is the OG-US-3500-MB. The companion rear module is the OG-US-3500-RM. The OG-US-3500-MB plus OG-US-3500-RM provides the same functionality as the US-3500.
  • HDMI 1.3 to SDI converter. The openGear® version of the DA-HDTV-SDI is the OG-DA-HDTV-SDI-MB. The companion rear module is the OG-DA-HDTV-SDI-RM. The OG-DA-HDTV-SDI-MB plus OG-DA-HDTV-SDI-RM provides the same functionality as the DA-HDTV-SDI.
  • The 2RU openGear® modular frame is the OG3-FR-CN-P. This is a 22 slots frame for the 8300 series cards. One slot is used by the controller card, one slot is used by the reference card and it has 20 slots available. It comes with the Advanced GigE Network Control card, the reference card and one 450 W power supply. A single Ethernet connector provides connectivity to each slot via the 20 ports GigE Switch of the control card. · PS-OG3. This is redundant or Spare power supply for the OG3-FR-CN-P.
