PRIVACY POLICY

Polar Graphics take the handling of personal data very seriously and care how it is used and shared.

Under the new GDPR laws which are effective as of 25th May 2018 and as has always has been practise of Polar prior to this date, all personal data is processed under the lawful basis of ‘Consent’ or ‘Legitimate Interests’.

We pride ourselves on only supplying the most relevant information and not bombarding people on a daily or even weekly basis with news, for this we have received positive feedback.

Collection of Data:
We only ever store data that you have provided us with by signing up to receive our newsletters / e-mails, through our suppliers/partners, promotions, surveys, relevant events/tradeshow or the use of any or our services or products*.

Polar never purchase contact lists.

If at any time you wish to know what data is held on you, you can request this at any time (please see contact details at the bottom of this page).

 

Information you provide to us
Personal information you have provided may include; name, address, telephone/mobile, e-mail address, website and preferences.

Through providing this information (all or part of it) you consent to the use of this information according to this privacy policy.

Information will be stored until a time when it is no longer required or instructed otherwise.

 

How we use your information
To contact you either by e-mail or phone, if this information has been provided regarding news, information, products and services in the following ways;

Promotional E-mails:
You may receive an e-mail directly from one of the Polar team if you have registered an interest or we feel you may be interested in any news of new products, product updates or company news/updates. This can also include personal invites to events etc*.

MailChimp:
We use MailChimp as our online marketing platform. From time to time you may receive newsletters or promotional material from Polar which we feel may be relevant regarding Polar, products, events/tradeshows or our suppliers*.

 

Storing of your personal information
Polar are committed to ensuring your information is secure. It will be treated strictly confidentially and will not be traded, sold or rented.

Information may only be disclosed if required by English Law.

Due to the nature of our business information that is collected from you may be transferred to, and stored in a country outside the European Union (EU). Information may be processed by employees operating outside the EU who work for us or for one of our suppliers/partners. Polar will take all steps necessary to ensure that your data is treated in accordance to this policy but must inform you that the laws in some countries may not provide as much legal protection as in the EU. By submitting your personal information, you agree to this transfer, storing / processing.

 

Your rights to reviewing, amending or deleting your personal information

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to ask us not to use your personal information for marketing purposes and if at any time you wish to review, amend or delete the data/personal information we have on you, you can request this at any time (contact details below).

You can exercise this right by either contacting the Polar team directly, checking or unchecking boxes on forms you may fill out when collecting data or if you wish stop receiving information we may send through our online marketing provider MailChimp, simply select the ‘Unsubscribe’ option. You also have the right to contact MailChimp directly.

 

Transmission of data online
Polar must inform transmission of information over the internet is not completely secure and that data is transmitted at your own risk as we cannot ensure the security of the worldwide web.
