DR8-TB provides latency management and RAID protection for SATA devices which are accessible by Thunderbolt-enabled host systems.

The ultra-fast and ultra-flexible Thunderbolt transmission port comprises two 10 Gbps data transmission channels and is over 12 times faster than FireWire 800 and 20 times faster than USB 2.0. This highly potent data transmission power is the first of its kind.

DR8-TB comprises various storage modes, RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10, applicable for different storage requirements and applications. For video editing users, RAID 5 mode is recommended as it increases transmission speed and provides data security. For enterprises’ data security, it is recommended to use RAID 6 mode for ultimate protection of the enterprises’ internal data. Regardless of whether they are accounting system’s database or research center’s library, data are properly maintained without the worries of serious loss when there is a hard drive failure.
Short Rack Design Allows for More Diversified Types of Installation
The DR8-TB’s short rack structural design is not only suitable to be put on desk, but also be installed on server racks. Because its depth is half of a normal rack, the installation can be combined with a mobile rack without occupying extra space.
