The PIXi 4 bay is an ideal desktop storage solution for any professional creating content on a MAC or PC based Laptop or workstation. Offering a massive capacity of up to 8TB of RAID protect storage with unparalleled performance this compact desktop storage unit is the IDEAL partner for AJA's IO HD video solution.

With full RAID 5 support and hot-swap hard drives, Fibrenetix PIXi 4-bay is perfect as a cost effective back up solution, or additional storage for small office servers and home offices.

The PIXi 4-bay comes in two version the PIXi 4p, and the PIXi 4e.  The PIXi 4p includes a PCIe eSATA card and is ideal for workstations where no eSATA port is available.

 

The PIXi 4e on the other hand comes complete with integrated controller and has both an eSATA and USB2 host connection making it ideal for using with both a workstation and a laptop, or for moving data between them. 

 

By having the controller integrated into the array, configuration of the PIXi 4e couldn't be easier.  A few simple button pushes on the LCD panel and then Plug n'Store.  Alternatively both PIXi 4p and 4E allow you to easily manage your Terabytes of storage via a web browser.


Dependant on application and data type, the PIXi 4-bay can provide more than 200MB/s sustained transfer rates.  This is more than enough for compressed HD or SD video streaming, or make the array a fast back storage.
